Finasteride:(Amin-enzyme) [1-20]

The FDA has approved finasteride for the treatment of moderate-to-severe prostate cancer. However, the drug is still under review for its role in treating enlarged prostate. It’s important to note that finasteride is not approved to treat high-grade prostate cancer. It’s used off-label to treat high-grade prostate cancer in high-risk patients. A recent review of finasteride’s role in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia found that finasteride can be used in some patients for hair loss, including men with male pattern baldness and those who have had prostate cancer. However, it is important to note that finasteride is not approved to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia.

(Amin-enzyme) [1-5]

Finasteride, the active ingredient in Proscar, is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor. This is the only FDA-approved medication for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Proscar, also known as finasteride, is a 5-alpha reductase inhibitor. It is FDA-approved to treat BPH in men and women of all ages, including men with BPH. Finasteride is the only medication approved for the treatment of male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia). It is also the only medication approved to treat hair loss in men with male pattern baldness. Finasteride works by blocking an enzyme in the body called type-2 5-alpha reductase. This prevents the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the hormone that causes hair loss. By reducing DHT levels, finasteride can help slow down or even reverse the progression of hair loss in BPH. The drug is available in the form of oral tablets and liquid solution, and is usually taken once daily at a dose of 1 mg. The FDA has approved this drug for the treatment of male pattern baldness. A study in 2021 found that finasteride is effective in reducing hair loss in men with mild to moderate BPH. This means that it can be used as a first-line treatment for the treatment of BPH and male pattern baldness. Finasteride is available as a tablet and liquid solution.

I had BPH for a year and a half. I was told to start taking finasteride at the first sign of symptoms. I have been losing my libido ever since. I have had no problems. The only thing that seems to bother me is the lack of urination. The only side effect was I had BPH twice where I had a lump in my prostate and hair loss. My doctor told me to stop taking it and not to stop it at all. Then I thought maybe I would have some hair loss but it has been a long time since I have had it. I also had some other side effects. But all in all, I would recommend taking this medicine. It's really helped me immensely. It helped with my sex drive but that's about it. I will continue taking it and hope that it goes away soon. I will not give up on this medicine. I am so sorry for all the negative things that have happened to me. I will always continue to use this medicine and hope that it goes away soon. Thank you so much.

Review

I was diagnosed with BPH in June of 2017. My doctor decided to add finasteride to the treatment as the only effective way to treat it. I had to take it daily for the first year and it was incredible. The only side effect was I had BPH twice where I had a lump in my prostate. My doctor prescribed it but then stopped it. My doctor told me to stop taking it and to stop losing my libido. So I stopped taking it. I have had no problems at all.

Propecia contains a medicine called finasteride. This belongs to a group of medicinescalled Type II ‘5-alpha reductase inhibitors’.

Propecia is used for the treatment of male pattern hair loss (also known as androgeneticalopecia). Propecia increases hair growth on the scalp and prevents further hair loss inmen. Men with mild to moderate, but not complete hair loss, can benefit from usingPropecia.

How does the hair on your head grow?On average your hair grows about 1 centimetre (half an inch) each month. Hair growsfrom hair follicles, which are located under your skin.

A single scalp hair grows continuously for 2-4 years (growth phase) and then stopsgrowing for 2-4 months (rest phase). After this the hair falls out. In its place a newhealthy hair begins to grow, and the cycle is repeated. The hairs on your scalp arealways in different stages of this cycle so it is normal to lose scalp hair every day.

What is male pattern hair loss?

Male pattern hair loss is a common condition in which men experience thinning of thehair on the scalp, often resulting in a receding hairline and/or balding on the top of thehead. This condition is thought to be caused by a combination of genetic factors and aparticular hormone, DHT (dihydrotestosterone).

DHT causes a decrease in the growth phase and thinning of the hair (see picture). Thisleads to male pattern hair loss. These changes can start to occur in some men in their20s and become more common with age. Once hair loss has occurred over a longperiod of time, the hair may be permanently lost.

A new study by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is suggesting that finasteride is a safe medication, but doctors still need to be aware of the risks before prescribing.

The drug is the same as Propecia, which is also sold under the brand name Proscar. However, the FDA doesn’t approve the drug’s marketing authorization and is not required to do so. This means that people who have taken Propecia are not advised to get it or take it for a long time.

While the FDA hasn’t approved the drug, the agency has prescribed it to be sold in the U. S. under the brand name Proscar. That’s because the FDA is worried that it might have adverse effects on the liver, kidneys, and the heart, especially when they’re used by people who have had liver disease.

The FDA is also concerned that finasteride is not being used for people who have heart disease. This means it’s better to treat these people with a lower dosage of the drug.

The FDA also is concerned that people who take a lower dose of Propecia could get an allergic reaction or suffer from a rare skin condition called Stevens-Johnson syndrome. The condition, which affects nearly 1 in 3 Americans, can be fatal.

The FDA also says that the FDA hasn’t approved finasteride to treat any other medical conditions.

While doctors may not want to prescribe the drug as a treatment for liver problems, they may still want to avoid the drug. The agency also is concerned that people who take a higher dose of Propecia might get an allergic reaction or suffer from a rare skin condition called Stevens-Johnson syndrome.

The FDA is also worried that people who are pregnant or may become pregnant could have dangerous side effects if they take finasteride. So far, no pregnant or breastfeeding women have been prescribed finasteride, the FDA said.
